Our Story
We met at Northwestern…
… during our sophomore year, this much is certain. Beyond that, things become much less clear. Corey recalls meeting while hanging out with mutual friends in Sally’s sorority house. Sally is sure she met a grouchy Corey at a philanthropy fundraising booth. Either way, we continued to have numerous occasional run ins.
But it wasn’t until the summer before our senior year when we got together. Both of us had internships at the same Chicago startup and, after taking a cab back to Evanston after a company karaoke night, Corey kissed Sally for the first time on August 5, 2014. Thus began a relationship seven years strong and counting…
After undergraduate, Sally went to London to obtain her Master’s degree and we went long distance.
This allowed us to become an Anglophile couple and gave Corey his first two opportunities to visit Ireland. Over Christmas, Corey met Sally’s extended family and drank his first Guinness. Throughout the years, we’ve travelled to many amazing places and even bought our first home in Chicago, where we continue to live surrounded by many of our closest friends!
Today, Sally works at DocuSign as a Solutions Engineer, while Corey works at Tock as a Software Engineer.
We love hosting at our new condo, which has also given us tons of projects since moving in. Sally is especially excited at the prospect of holding many of our famous Halloween parties there, much to Corey’s chagrin! We love traveling and visiting family, especially in Ireland as we’ve been planning our wedding.
